Why use this board
Use this board to benchmark promoted-post detection between two public Facebook profiles; compare how each brand uses paid amplification.
Board controls
-
Profile pickers: Select a profile to compare.
-
Adaptive filters: Open Filter in the toolbar to narrow posts by Content Label, Sentiment, Language, Country, Interest, Media Type, Content Type, Full text, Advanced filter, Origin of content, or Content visibility. Active filters appear as chips below the toolbar; remove a chip to clear that filter.
-
Date range: Defaults to the last 30 days. The board subtitle shows the active range when available.

Posts by organic vs. promoted
What it measures: The distribution of posts published by selected pages during the selected date range, segregated by organic, promoted, or undetected. Post status is defined either by the Promoted Post Detection algorithm, or through paid metrics available to profiles with connected insights. Shown as a ranked horizontal bar chart — longer bars mean higher values; use it to compare many categories at once.

Profile 2: Percentage of promoted interactions
What it measures: The percentage of interactions on posts that were detected as promoted among all posts published by selected pages during the selected date range. Promoted posts are defined by the Promoted Post Detection algorithm, or through paid metrics available to profiles with connected insights. Shown as a KPI with period-over-period change — use it to see whether the metric is rising or falling.

Promoted post efficiency
What it measures: This graph illustrates the relationship between the number of promoted posts (X-axis) and interactions on these promoted posts (Y-axis). The efficiency curves show how effectively a budget is allocated based on the number of interactions on promoted posts compared to those on organic posts. This metric shows data for posts published by selected pages during the selected date range. Shown as vertical bars — compare categories side by side to see which drives the most volume.

Profile 2: Promoted post efficiency percentage
What it measures: Promoted post efficiency percentage is calculated by examining how well a page’s budget is being distributed based on the amount of interactions on promoted posts compared to interactions on organic posts. This metric is calculated from all posts published by the selected page in the last month. Shown as a KPI with period-over-period change — use it to see whether the metric is rising or falling.
