In Content → Feed, you can search and analyze organic posts, promoted posts, and unpublished or unlisted content from profiles connected to your Emplifi account. Feed combines public metrics, profile insights, and Emplifi detection tags so you can compare performance across post types in one place.
For a full overview of Feed, see Content Feed.
Organic and promoted posts
Feed shows posts from profiles you manage. Emplifi tags each post to show whether it reached its audience organically or through paid promotion:
|
Tag |
What it means |
|---|---|
|
Organic |
The post was not boosted or paid, based on Emplifi detection or profile insights data. |
|
Promoted |
The post was boosted or paid. Detection method depends on the platform and profile type. |
To show only organic or promoted posts, set Promoted post detection in the filter settings panel to Organic or Promoted.
Detection works as follows:
-
Public Facebook profiles — Emplifi uses Promoted Posts Detection.
-
Owned Facebook profiles — Emplifi uses insights data from the connected profile.
-
Owned Instagram profiles — Emplifi uses insights data and connected ad accounts.
For owned Instagram profiles with the IG Boosted Data feature enabled, Insights metrics on content cards can include paid impressions and interactions for boosted posts. Connect all ad accounts you use to boost posts before reviewing paid data. If a post shows an incorrect Organic or Promoted tag, use Report incorrect tag on the tag tooltip.
Performance Prediction grades
Organic posts on Facebook and Instagram may show a Performance Prediction grade (A+ through D) on content cards and in post detail. Grades help you identify strong organic performers before deciding whether to boost a post.
Grades are separate from Organic and Promoted tags. Promoted Post Detection (PPD) classifies whether a post is organic or promoted. Performance Prediction forecasts how well an organic post will perform. A post tagged Organic does not always have a predicted grade.
Grades appear only when the profile has enough historical engagement data (roughly six months), the post is organic and published, and the post is within the prediction window (typically the first 72 hours). Newly added profiles may show Organic tags before predicted grades appear.
For a full troubleshooting list, see Promoted Post Detection in Analytics & Content Hub.
Unpublished and unlisted content
By default, every Feed search includes Content visibility: Published/Listed — published Facebook posts and listed YouTube videos.
To include unpublished or unlisted posts, change Content visibility in the filter settings panel to Unpublished/Unlisted or All content.
-
On Facebook, unpublished posts are typically used only for ads.
-
On YouTube, unlisted videos are hidden from YouTube search.
Unpublished posts display an Unpublished tag on the content card.
Metrics in search results
In Content Overview, each content card shows metric groups depending on the platform, media type, and whether the profile has insights connected:
-
Public metrics — metrics available without profile insights, such as Interactions, Reactions, Comments, and Shares
-
Organic — organic performance metrics when a paid/organic split is available
-
Insights — metrics from connected profile insights, such as Reach and Impressions
-
Shared Insights — metrics from influencer opt-in content (when available on your account)
Content cards show a subset of metrics. Switch to Performance View to compare metrics across posts in a sortable table. Open a post for the full metric set in post detail.
See Understanding Metrics on Content Cards in Content Hub.
Feed results refresh when you run a new search. See Content Feed for when posts and metrics update.
