Introduction
Content Hub shows post-level metrics in two places: on content cards in the feed overview, and in the Performance view for each post. The metrics on a content card are a subset of what is available in Performance view. Which metrics appear on the card depends on the platform and media type.
Use this article to understand why a metric may appear on one post but not another, and how to view metrics that are not shown on the content card by default.
Content cards vs Performance view
|
Surface |
What it shows |
|---|---|
|
Content card (feed overview) |
A predefined set of metrics for that platform and media type |
|
Performance view (post detail) |
The full set of available metrics for that post |
Content cards show the metrics most useful for each platform and media type. The same defaults apply for all users. You cannot customize which metrics appear on content cards.
Why a metric may be missing from a content card
A metric may not appear on a content card even though it is available for that post. Common reasons:
-
Platform and media type — Each combination has its own default card metrics. For example, Instagram Reels and Instagram Carousels can show different engagement rate metrics on the card.
-
Search filters — Filters such as Reels can change which metrics appear on content cards for the filtered results.
-
Card vs Performance scope — Content cards are designed for a quick overview. Performance view is where you review the complete metric set for a post.
This is expected behavior, not missing data.
Example: Impressions engagement rate on Instagram Reels
When you filter Content → Feed by Reels, content cards for Instagram Reels show Reach engagement rate by default, not Impressions engagement rate.
Impressions engagement rate and Reach engagement rate are different metrics:
|
Metric |
Formula (simplified) |
|---|---|
|
Impressions engagement rate |
Engagements ÷ Impressions |
|
Reach engagement rate |
Engagements ÷ Reach |
Because they use different denominators, the values are not interchangeable. Use the metric that matches your analysis goal.
Impressions engagement rate for Instagram Reels is available in Performance view. Open the post and switch to Performance to see it.
How to view a metric that is not on the content card
Use one of these options:
View all metrics in Performance view
-
In Content → Feed, open the post.
-
Go to Performance view.
-
Review the full metric list for that post, including metrics not shown on the content card.
Sort by the metric you need
When you sort the feed by a metric that is not shown on the content card by default, that metric is added to the card. This lets you see the value you sorted by without opening each post.
-
In Content → Feed, open Sort by.
-
Select the metric you need (for example, Impressions engagement rate).
-
The selected metric appears on each content card in the results.
Adjust media type filters
If a media type filter is active (for example, Reels), try removing it to see whether the default card metrics change for your results.
