Build an Organic Content Query

You can build an organic content query in ContentFeed.

There are two ways to build your query:

  • Search bar: Use this quicker option when you know a profile name, label, or filter keyword. Start typing in the search bar and select matching suggestions.

  • Filter settings panel: Use this option to build more detailed queries with multiple filters. Open the filter panel from the search bar to configure all available options.

Refer to the following sections for details.

Every Feed search automatically includes these filters unless you change them:

  • Origin of content: Brand’s content — original content produced by a social profile you own or manage.

  • Content visibility: Published/Listed — published Facebook posts and listed YouTube videos.

To include user-generated content or unpublished/unlisted posts, change Origin of content or Content visibility in the filter settings panel. See Origin of Content for details on the origin filter across Emplifi.

To build a query with the search bar:

  1. Open Content and select Feed in the left navigation.

  2. Select a date range in the header. For Feed, the latest selectable date is yesterday.

  3. In the search bar, start typing one of the following:

    • Profile name or screen name

    • Profile label or content label name

    • A filter keyword such as a platform, media type, or content type

    • Keywords from post text (full-text search)

  4. Select matching suggestions from the list to add them as filters.

  5. Click Search.

You can combine multiple filters in one query. For example, select an Instagram profile, add the Reel media type, and add a content label.

When you add a full-text keyword, results sort by Relevance Score and Feed displays a maximum of 60 results. To see more results, change the sort option or refine your filters.

Build a query with the filter settings panel

To build a query with the filter settings panel:

  1. Open Content and select Feed in the left navigation.

  2. Select a date range in the header.

  3. In the search bar, open the filter settings panel.

  4. Configure the filters you need, then click Search in the panel.

The following filter groups are available:

Profile and labels

  • Profile — Filter by specific profiles already added to Emplifi. Select all that apply.

  • Profile label — Filter by user-created labels assigned to profiles. You can include or exclude labels.

  • Content label — Filter by labels assigned to posts in Emplifi. You can include or exclude labels.

  • Profile type — Filter by Owned Profile, Public Profile, or Owned Profile with Insights.

Content attributes

  • Origin of contentBrand’s content, User-generated content, or All content. User-generated content from X is limited to profiles connected to your Emplifi account.

  • Content visibilityPublished/Listed, Unpublished/Unlisted, or All content. On Facebook, unpublished posts are used only for ads. On YouTube, unlisted videos are hidden from search.

  • Content type — Posts, Stories, Shares, Replies, Snaps, and Collaboration posts. Select all that apply.

  • Media type — Photo, Video, Reel, Carousel, Album, Link, Poll, Status, and other media types. Select all that apply.

  • Video type — Crosspost Video, Crosspostable Video, Live Video, and Shared Video (Facebook video attribute).

  • Sources — Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and Snapchat. Available platforms depend on your account configuration.

Performance and detection

  • Promoted post detection — Filter by Organic or Promoted tags applied by Emplifi. For public Facebook profiles, the tag uses Promoted Posts Detection. For owned Facebook profiles, it uses insights data. For owned Instagram profiles, it uses insights data and connected ad accounts.

  • Performance prediction - content grade — Predicted Grade A+, A, B, C, or D. Available for Facebook and Instagram organic content.

  • Content sentiment — Filter by detected sentiment (requires the Content Sentiment feature on your account).

  • Language — Filter by language automatically detected by Emplifi AI.

Advanced filters

  • Unlabeled Content — Show only posts with no content label assigned.

  • Shared Insights — Show content from users opted in to Shared Insights (requires Influencers access on your account).

After you click Search, Feed shows matching posts in Content Overview by default. Use the view switcher to change to Performance View for a sortable table of metrics.

From the results header you can:

  • Sort by a metric such as Date, Interactions, Reach, or Paid Reach

  • Save search for quick access later (maximum 20 saved searches per account)

  • Open My searches in the header to apply, edit, reorder, or delete saved searches

If you sort by a metric that is available only for some platforms or content types, Feed may restrict the results shown. When this happens, a warning icon appears in the results header.

Missing filter permissions

If a profile, profile label, or content label in your query is no longer available to you, Feed removes it from the search and may show this message:

Note that you are missing some permissions rights for some elements in your search. This is due to some items (profile, profile labels or content labels) that have been disconnected or not been granted access to.
