Performance Prediction identifies top-performing posts that were published in the last 12 to 48 hours and suggests which you should consider to promote based on their organic interactions.
To make recommendations, we analyze six months of your historical content and user behavior data to create a an-ad hoc unique algorithm to select actionable content.
Data requirements
To generate predicted grades, Performance Prediction analyzes roughly six months of historical content and engagement data on the profile. The model builds a profile-specific forecast from past post performance and audience behavior.
Grades appear only when:
-
The profile has been in Emplifi long enough to accumulate sufficient historical data
-
The post is organic and published (not promoted or unpublished)
-
The post is within the active prediction window (typically the first 72 hours after publication)
Newly added profiles
When you add a new public or owned profile to Emplifi, predicted grades may not appear immediately, even when PPD already tags posts as Organic. This is expected behavior, not a detection error.
PPD can begin classifying posts after the profile has been in Emplifi for about one to two days. Performance Prediction needs more history (roughly six months) before it can forecast grades. Allow time for data collection after adding a profile.

How Performance Prediction differs from Promoted Post Detection
Performance Prediction and Promoted Post Detection (PPD) are separate Emplifi features:
Performance Prediction - Forecasts how well an organic post will perform, using a grade from A+ through D
Promoted Post Detection (PPD) - Classifies each post as Organic or Promoted
A post correctly tagged Organic by PPD may still have no predicted grade. PPD and Performance Prediction use different data and run independently.
For PPD classification, Content Hub tags, and troubleshooting when a grade is missing, see Promoted Post Detection in Analytics & Content Hub.
