Language Translations V2 Glossary
Refer to the list below for definitions of the terminology used within Language Translations V2.
Default language: This refers to the initial (or primary) language configured in your first Bot. This is the Bot you have as a starting point and are adding languages to.
Language variant: This refers to any additional languages (or variants) you are adding to your Bot (or default language). Variants are intended to provide an identical experience to the default language rather than having separate configurations.
Default value: This refers to the default value in a configurable item (such as a node, utterance, name, etc.) before translation. Typically, this refers to the default language of your Bot.
Translated value: The automatically translated value, provided by the Translation model, based on the text that exists in your default language Bot.
Approve: A mechanism for marking a translation as reviewed and approved - as best practice, all translations should be reviewed by a human before publishing to a live Bot channel/profile.
Refresh: A mechanism for refreshing/regenerating the originally suggested automatic translation - used when a user may have manually overwritten the original suggestion and wants to recall it. Please note: “Refresh” does not provide different translations when it is clicked.
