Community Propagate Parent Post Labels Action
The Propagate parent post labels action element for Community Flow Automations assigns an entire thread of comments the labels of the original (parent) post. Propagating parent post labels action only works on the Comment message type.
The Propagate parent post labels action has two options:
Propagate all labels applied to the parent post
Propagate only specific labels
These options provide more granular flows. For example, if posts from one owned profile are answered by a different owned profile, you can ensure a chain of content labels from the parent to the children. You can also exclude certain comments' threads from escalation to Care or from further processing.
We suggest that you preemptively label your posts in Publisher to ensure that your automation flow is applied immediately and all posts in the given thread are automatically labeled.
FAQ
Q: What happens if I assign Content label to a parent post few hours after it was posted?
A: Only new comments (created AFTER the label was applied) will inherit the label.
Q: What about Facebook Ad post labels?
Facebook ads can create one of the following:
One ad post
Multiple ad posts
An ad post template that is used as placeholder for a real ad post. For example, an ad post that is created from a specific product catalog’s product.
The propagate parent post labels action copies the labels from the parent Facebook ad post (the post within Emplifi, not from the Facebook ad).
However, ad comments are connected to a real dynamic ad post.
If you apply the label to the ad post template, the action will not propagate labels because it is a placeholder for the eventual post.
