Terms of Service Update FAQ

Do I have to make any immediate changes to my galleries?

No, you do not have to make any immediate changes, however, we are working towards making our gallery uploaders (default widget button and end tile button) require a brand TOS to be set in order for users to upload content in the future, so we strongly recommend that you to set your default TOS in the new TOS settings page here as soon as you can. This will make transitioning to the brand TOS requirement much easier for you in the future, and will ensure that any new galleries you publish going forward will have your brand TOS enabled by default!

I already have my brand TOS enabled throughout my galleries, do I need to do anything?

That’s great! We still strongly recommend that you set your default TOS in the new TOS settings page here as soon as you can - this will make transitioning to the brand TOS requirement much easier for you in the future, and will ensure that any new galleries you publish going forward will have your brand TOS enabled by default!

I use a different TOS for some of my galleries, will this change prevent me from using multiple TOS’s?

No, you will still be able to change your brand TOS on a per gallery basis! While we currently only allow you to set one default TOS via the settings page, you will still be able to change the brand TOS for individual galleries via the Design Editor in the publish center. Go to Set up Terms of Service to learn more.

If I change my default TOS via the settings, will that change reflect across my galleries?

No. If you change your default TOS in the settings, only galleries you create after the change will have your updated TOS. You will have to manually update any existing galleries with this new TOS.

Is anything changing with the look and feel of my galleries?

There is one minor visual change coming to the uploader (default widget button and end tile button) immediately - any uploader checkbox text that has a link associated with it will now display all of the text as a link:

What if I don’t have a suitable TOS to use?

We recommend you work with your General Counsel or one of the many online resources to create one. As a starting point, most websites run by companies have a publicly available privacy policy you can use a reference.
