Instagram Carousel Collection FAQ

Previously, Emplifi UGC was only able to collect the first image in an Instagram carousel post. Now, we’ve made some upgrades to allow you to collect and use all content in an Instagram carousel post. About 10% of content collected by Emplifi UGC are carousels, so we expect this feature to unlock a lot more content for everyone!

Nope! Emplifi UGC will now automatically collect and display all content from future Instagram carousel posts. There is no need to set new collections.

Each carousel post will only require a single permission request, which can be sent from any of the individual pieces of content within it (e.g., all pieces of content in that carousel will be marked as “awaiting permission” in Emplifi UGC automatically). Once that Instagram user has granted you permission, all content in the carousel will be marked as “permissioned” and ready for you to use throughout your marketing channels!

Yes! All content collected from an Instagram carousel will live in Emplifi UGC as individual pieces of content.  This means that you will be able to approve, deny, tag, copy, and more individually. If you would like to perform actions on any carousel content in bulk, you can always use the multi-select tool while curating within the platform.

Unfortunately, we are not able to retroactively collect the sibling content of previously collected Instagram carousel posts.

This feature should not affect your analytics in any significant way. Likes, comments, and more will continue to only be counted once per carousel, but individual pieces of carousel content will appear in some content analytics, such as the content breakdown and top converting content sections of the analytics dashboard.

At this time, this feature is only available for Instagram Carousel posts.
