2020.09.24 - Firefox Browser Widget Display Update

Earlier this year, Mozilla Firefox took extra steps to make sure there were no privacy issues. To ensure this, they’re blocking any script that does tracking, fingerprinting, etc. In turn, this causes Pixlee widget displays to be blocked.

Some of you may already be aware of this, but we released a fix and all you have to do is change some characters in your display’s embed code. If you have widget displays created before 1/24/20, you will need to update them as accordingly:

1. Locate all places in which Pixlee widgets are embedded

2. Locate the part of the embed that references the link: //assets.pixlee.com/assets/pixlee_widget_1_0_0.js

3. Replace the link with: //assets.pxlecdn.com/assets/pixlee_widget_1_0_0.js
